Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities within the classroom.  These activities include: art, drama, music, library, technology, SLC options courses, physical education programming

All students in our school have art classes that are taught by their homeroom teacher or Mrs. Acres. Students learn a variety of art styles and techniques as they increase in grade. Some projects have included perspective sketches, graffiti names, landscapes, pop art etc.

In a regular school year all students take drama classes and participate in a spring play! Alternatives  have given students opportunities to participate in Drimes, One Acts, and Dances.

Since moving to our new and current location our library has expanded greatly! We offer a variety of books as well as an enjoyable work space for students.

We have talented teachers who provide great instruction to students in music class. They learn rhythm, how to read notes, sing, playing instruments such as the hand bells, drum, and boomwhackers. Our SLC students also have opportunities to learn piano or guitar during lunch hour once a week. An extension of this class is the opportunity for students to join the worship team for chapel.

Our physical education program has grown and developed strongly in the past few years. We take many trips to enhance our program which includes: swimming lessons, school wide ski trips, rock climbing, skating, gymnastics, as well as trips to the Morinville Leisure Centre to use their court space for activities like volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, and badminton.

Students in the Senior Learning Centre have option classes that run for two month periods. Some options offered are: Outdoor Education, Minecraft Coding, Sewing, Babysitting Course, Foods – Baking/Cooking, Construction, and French.

At TFHCS all students have access to their own personal chromebook while at our school. They learn to use Google Ensuite for Education, practice typing with TypingClub, learn to code through Minecraft and Scratch, make posters, video editing, and more!
